Description

All AI-powered features in TaskMaster fail with "Claude Code process exited with code 1" error after updating to v0.19.0. This affects task complexity analysis, subtask generation, and all other AI text generation features.

Steps to Reproduce

Initialize TaskMaster in a project
Setup as stdio MCP in Claude Code
Configure models using task-master models --setup (shows successful configuration)
Run any AI-powered command via MCP in Claude Code: - mcp__taskmaster__analyze_project_complexity --ids "25,26" --projectRoot "/path/to/project"
- mcp__taskmaster__expand_task --id "26" --num "3" --projectRoot "/path/to/project"
All commands fail with the same error

Expected Behavior

AI models should generate text successfully for task analysis, expansion, and other AI-powered features.

Actual Behavior

All AI text generation fails immediately with:

Error: Claude Code API error during text generation: Claude Code process exited with code 1
Version: 0.19.0
Name: task-master-ai
Current Tag: phase-2

Environment

Task Master version: 0.19.0
Node.js version: v24.3.0
Operating system: Linux 6.15.4-zen2-1-zen
IDE (if applicable): Claude Code (interacting via MCP)

Additional Context

Started after v0.19.0 update
Using Claude Code via CLI
Models are accessed through the new Claude Max functionality (ie not using the Anthropic API keys, but my Claude Max sub)
Claude Code shows as properly configured with API keys available in task-master models (both CLI and MCP)
Non-AI functions work normally (get_tasks, set_task_status, etc.)
Affects all AI-powered functions: analyze_project_complexity, expand_task, parse_prd, add_task, update_task
