I've had a number of people asked about how to get started creating your own bot that allows you to use Y-Bot as a base but not modify any of its files, so that you can pick up changes as they are pushed to GitHub and not have those changes affect your own development

Plese find Template-Y. A new top level repo which provides a full template framework structure for your own bot that you can clone and then follow the instructions in the README.txt
